SMM, January 23: The rare earth market remained generally stable today. According to SMM data, prices of major rare earth oxides and metals were relatively steady. The price of Pr-Nd oxide ranged from 413,000 to 417,000 yuan/mt, dysprosium oxide from 1.66 million to 1.67 million yuan/mt, and terbium oxide fluctuated between 5.92 million and 5.96 million yuan/mt. Gadolinium oxide prices remained at 155,000 to 160,000 yuan/mt, holmium oxide at 440,000 to 445,000 yuan/mt, and erbium oxide stabilized at 285,000 to 295,000 yuan/mt.

In the metals sector, the price of Pr-Nd alloy ranged from 508,000 to 514,000 yuan/mt, dysprosium-iron alloy remained at 1.62 million to 1.64 million yuan/mt, and terbium metal was priced at 7.37 million to 7.45 million yuan/mt. Gadolinium-iron alloy prices ranged from 154,000 to 157,000 yuan/mt, while lanthanum-cerium metal was priced at 17,000 to 19,000 yuan/mt. As the Chinese New Year approaches, most upstream and downstream rare earth enterprises have begun halting production and taking holidays, leading to reduced market inquiries and quoting activities, with overall trading activity remaining low. Although some metal plants and large magnetic material enterprises continued production during the holiday, purchasing enthusiasm was low, and the market atmosphere remained subdued. The rare earth market is expected to gradually recover after the Chinese New Year holiday.
